The Story of Anhedonia was written like a Fairy Tale to show the transformative power of God’s love on your heart. At the center of the story is Princess Anhedonia and her castle of the same name. The Princess is preoccupied with finding true love, because someone from her past had taken her heart with all her love, and never returned it. This caused Princess Anhedonia to be empty inside, and she is unable to feel love, or happiness, or any kind of joy in her life. So, she spends her time taking the hearts of those who love her for her beauty and discards them whenever she desires, leaving herself and everyone in Anhedonia without love. One day, a ‘Prince from another place’, who was also looking for love, hears about Princess Anhedonia and her quest to find love. The Prince devises a plan and disguises himself as a common man in order to meet Princess Anhedonia and try to win her love, knowing he could suffer the same fate as the rest of her suitors. But he does it anyway, at his peril. Who is this ‘Prince from another place’? The story has inferences to common problems that we recognize in society every day, and how they manifest in relationships. The reader can decide how to diagnose whether Princess Anhedonia has some cluster-B personality disorder, or what may have caused her to act the way she does. Or you can ponder on how the abused sometimes become the abusers. Was the Prince a super empath? Can love really be the answer to so many mental health issues?
