Description
This book explores how Jesus transcends an exclusive boundary of religious ritual and ethnicity to meet the needs of the oppressed people and outdoes a limited understanding of boundaries concerning a family member, an inner group, an ethnic identity, and a social boundary to help those who need assistance, welcome those who need acceptance, and recognize those who need acknowledgment. I argue that the church has been challenged to move beyond exclusive theology, and Christians are called to transcend ethnic, religious, and social boundaries to address public issues of discrimination and exclusion.
